Coronavirus – a message to families

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding over these last few weeks, it has been a very difficult time for all of us.

As you know, we have sent work home with your child or have given them access to work online.

Whilst we would like your children to access these, we also want this time to be a time where positive memories are being created. It is a stressful time but we don’t want our children to be stressed.

Our advice is to make sure you do all and more of the following things:

  • Cuddle up together and read, take turns reading
  • Read them your favourite book and read their favourite book to them
  • Do a puzzle
  • Play board games
  • Build a fort
  • Bake
  • Watch TV together
  • Paint
  • Play with Lego
  • Play cards
  • Eat together
  • Look at old photos and listen to old songs
  • Talk about your childhood

So, don’t stress about homeschooling them. Spend quality time together and your children will learn much more than doing online schoolwork.

This is a scary time, but you could make it one of the most memorable times in their life. Keep safe and we will see you very soon.
